Our extra fine Tea & Matcha Sifter is handcrafted by industry specialists in Tsubame city, Japan's renowned metalworking region famous for its exceptional craftsmanship.

Featuring an impressive 1600 openings per square inch in remarkably strong, fine mesh wire, this sifter is the perfect tool for sifting fine matcha powder before whisking – an essential step for achieving a perfectly smooth and creamy texture.

Plated sifters are a rare find due to the intricate plating process required for this extra-fine mesh. Plating with the 24K Gold offers additional benefits, including antibacterial and antiviral properties as well as eliminating any metallic odours. This is particularly beneficial for tea making, as it ensures no interference with the aromatic scent of the tea.

Available in three colours

  • Silver: Un-plated stainless steel, dishwasher safe.
  • Gold: Plated with 24K Gold, hand wash only.
  • Rose Gold: Plated with a Copper* and 18K Gold mix, hand wash only.

*Please note that due to the nature of Copper, Rose Gold sifters will gradually change color over time.
