MATSU tote bags featuring our original illustrations inspired by shinshi (神使) — divine messengers found at Japanese Shintō shrines that serve as mediators between people and the gods.
We wanted our tea to become a quiet mediator as well: between yourself and a moment of calm, or between friends sharing tea together. Inspired by this idea, we created illustrations based on animals traditionally associated with shinshi.
These illustrations are usually found on our MATSU Matcha No.001–004 packaging, but we created a limited edition series of tote bags featuring some of the animals :)
